In the 1960s an enterprising young woman from West Virginia named Sandy had
a thriving little business. She sent photographs out of herself in various
stages of undress for $20 a pop. Her business lasted at least 15 years which
was the duration of one particular account. For his $20, Art received a love
letter sprayed with perfume and 10 photographs of Sandy. At the
beginning of this "relationship" Art would send Sandy money each week, then
every month until that decreased to four times a year. After Art left this
earth, a drawer filled with hundreds of Sandy letters was discovered.
Amongst the photographs, one showed Sandy and Art together where they met
in Art's hometown of Philadelphia. Was Sandy a heartless businesswoman or
did she help someone not be so lonely? Sandy did some magazine work as
Dominique Prevot... or should it be said, Dominique Prevot sold photos under
the name of Sandy?
